Accessibility statement

Target and status

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Based on our own review, the website partially meets these requirements. Known limitations are listed below.

What we tested

• Automated testing of every generated page with axe-core 4.14.0 (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rules, levels A and AA) in Google Chrome at 320 × 640 and 1280 × 800 pixels.
• No horizontal scrolling at a width of 320 pixels, including with increased line, paragraph, letter and word spacing.
• Structural checks on every build: heading order, text alternatives, language markup of the English license texts, visible keyboard focus, text colour contrast, and captions plus a transcript for the trailer.
• Keyboard operation in Google Chrome: skip link, navigation, language menu including closing it with Escape, FAQ, video controls, transcript and footer links.

Known limitations

• The trailer has no spoken audio description. It contains no speech; all on-screen text and scenes are in the transcript below the video, and English and German captions are available.
• The trailer itself is only available in English.
• The app does not support screen readers yet.
• Testing with screen readers and on physical mobile devices is still outstanding.
